What a braindead comment… Obviously she knows the difference between 100 yards and a mile? she is a top player on the lpga tour. obviously everyone would want to use tech to make it easier, if someone is using they get an advantage, and everyone using it makes it fair. 99%+ players on the lpga tour use rangefinders when allowed.. doesn’t mean they cant master “simple skills of golf” they are much more precise than you, yes while you can get a ballpark yardage, it is pretty hard to get the yardage spot on, factor in slopes, wind, elevation and such and its just one less variable to remove, in no way do they “don’t have it in themselves to master the simple skills of golf…or much anything else”

Each event has Rules that may differ slightly from the one set in the book. That’s why they’re called Local rules, and those are sent to each player before every event.
Some of the local ones are the variances in spikes (metal/plastic), lasers and other yardage devices, riding carts, and how to dress, etc.
Rules are rules, every sport have them per event.
It’s up to the player to pay attention to rhem.

The easier golf becomes the more attractive it becomes to people who are unable to learn the difference between 100 yards and a mile, and who thin the rules are dumb without any understanding of their purpose. Those who want to use tech to make it easier, because they don’t have it in themselves to master the simple skills of golf…or much anything else.

Mixed up??? They receive Rules of the events in their email!!!! Their whole team didn’t read?????
A tough way to learn to pay attention to detail
